Parents Conduct Form
Youth Soccer plays a vital role in encouraging physical, social, and emotional growth and development in children. It is therefore essential for parents, coaches, and officials to encourage their youth soccer players to embrace the values of good sportsmanship, discipline, and character development.
AKFC strives to provide you and your player the best possible experience every soccer season. Our hope is that we do not ever have to refer to these conduct rules, but they will be on hand at every game as a precaution. If a situation arises where a parent must be reminded of these rules, a verbal warning will be issued & documented accordingly. After a second warning (same game & or another game or weekend) further disciplinary action may be taken, including:
A) sitting your player out for a game
B) asking you to remove yourself from the premises
and in worst cases
C) be removed from the participation in the program without a refund.
Rules we ask all of our parents to follow…
I will always put the emotional and physical well-being of youth participants ahead of a personal desire to win.
I will always respect players, coaches, officials, spectators, and families
I will always respect the decision of the officials or coaches*
I will never engage in any violence, profanity, or threats towards coaches, players, referees, other spectators
I will try to NOT yell advice to my child during the game, only encouragements
I will always model good sportsmanship for all youth participants
I will never belittle or ridicule anyone involved in a youth sporting event-in public, private, in-person, or online
I will always do my part to keep sports fun and positive for every youth participant
* We ask that you wait at least 24 hours before addressing the matter with your coach or board member to allow for a “cooling off” period. This rule will be strictly enforced.
